Thank you Aidan Crotty from everyone at Dromore West Community Centre for making our playground mural the most amazing nature filled adventure. We couldn’t have completed this project without grant funding from Sligo County Council .

Please everyone show your appreciation for Aidan’s work and share share share! This is just one step along the road of bringing our playground back into the heart and hearts of our community. Watch this short film to see the wall coming to life.

Tidy Towns 2018

Tidy Towns 2018

Welcome to a new year of Tidy Towns activities, 2018 is going to be a great year.  We are back and we are rubbing our hands together with lots of plans for making the village look beautiful.  You may have noticed plants popping up in the beds and planters around the village, we will out every Tuesday night from 7.30pm to 8.30pm planting, weeding, sweeping and picking litter in every corner of Dromore West.  If you would like to join us we meet in the Community Centre Dromore West and head out from there, bring gloves and lots of energy.  Volunteer with us once, come twice, come every week, we don’t mind, we understand how busy people are grateful for any time you can spare.  Contact us via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DromoreWestTidyTowns/

Darkness Into Light Dromore West 2018

Darkness Into Light is an Annual 5k walk/run in Aid of Pieta House. On Saturday, 12th May a community will gather at Dromore West Community Centre and walk in support of positive mental health.

Many of us walk every year in various locations, but this year we can make this a truly unique experience with family and friends in our very own community of Dromore West. Together we stand as a whole, a community, and shine as a beacon of light and hope to support those who may be struggling and in remembrance of those we have lost.

Join us in what will be a remarkable day for all and please help by sharing the event and inviting your friends to help enhance the walk.
